LOUIS VUITTON | SERIES 3

London are hosting the luxury brand experience - Series 3 exhibtion from Louis Vuitton held at 180 The Strand, beginning during London Fashion Week ending on October 18th.

The exhibition is made up of 13 rooms touring you through the creative process behind Nicolas Ghesquière's Autumn/Winter 2015 collection, essentially taking you beyond the catwalk and into over 100 years of craft.

Past, Present & Future were the inspirations for Nicolas's fourth RTW show as Creative Director at Louis Vuitton. A futuristic tunnel lead you to the exhibition where a rounded screen of enlarged runway footage and campaign shots by Bruce Webber and Jürgen Teller creates the illusion of a spinning room. An enormous, floating white Louis Vuitton trunk with gold hardware is the point of attraction in that room as it's turned into a screen showcasing more fashion footage.

Another featured and memorable room was the live demonstration of how a Louis Vuitton mini trunk bag is carefully constructed.  An almost blinding white room resembling a museum exhibited a selection of handbags on all white figure statues. The impact of colour, shape and design underlined the importance of accessories when it comes to achieving a look. The finale of the exhibition felt like a cosy walk in wardrobe displaying luxe garments and shoes that were placed on transparent hangers or boxes.

The short yet enjoyable combination of fashion and technology that the exhibition brings to you is fun and an intriguing way to have a brand experience. It's worth a visit, whether you're a fan of the brand or not. Tickets can be booked here .
