On the rare occasion of finishing college; early afternoon, on a Friday, when you have no pending work... means that the weekend can be just that little bit longer (yay!). So, of course I wasted no time planning a day out. A really close friend of mine - who I met whilst on a week away down in the countryside 2 years ago - was in London so we had a wander around Brick Lane.
We had a 'not so healthy' but well worth it lunch of Steak cut chips with a blue cheese dip from Orange Buffalo - a street food van in The Old Truman Brewery, and let me just say this is still THE best chips & dip combo I have ever had since first trying them last year. The chips are not dry nor too oily and have a soft center which I love. Also, the dip is silky and not too cheesey, I may attempt to re-create it sometime soon 'cause it's that gooood. After that we went to Spitalfields market, vintage shops, record stores, and lastly an art gallery where we spent so long chatting with one of the staff about two paintings I fell in love with by an artist called Jennifer Mills.
I didn't get to snap as many photo's as I normally would thanks to my forgetful self not recharging the battery pack for my SLR (I think a purchase of two spare ones is in order) plus the fear of being basically phone-less on the long late night journey home, those of you with an iPhone will know where I'm coming from. However! I did remember to chuck a couple of disposables in my bag so when I manage to get those developed I'll sneak them into this post. But for now these are all I have.
