NYFW Fall 2014/15 | Favourites

The start to a month long of back-to-back shows from the worlds fashion capitals began in New York and here are the ones that blew me away.

Alexander Wang's collection conveyed a robotic warrior in the midst of "extreme weather". The take on survival but in a fashionable way, I thought was done amazingly. The bags especially reflected failing practicality to not be a problem with their structured, visible compartments. As for the clothes... I found the lazer cut, heat map garments just ingenious. I loved the way the whole show felt theatrical and modern with the music adding to it.

Marc by Marc Jacobs' collection was the second to blow me away with their merging of school girl meets gang lifestyle. Each look I felt reflected a different character within the whole theme. These ones are my favourites because they are just so badass and comical. I liked the 'clean' base make-up with the dark lined eyes as it felt very young. And lastly, I thought the show production was awesome... and not only because they had the Alice in Wonderland theme song ;).

Alice + Olivia's collection was in presentation form as opposed to a catwalk. However, from pictures it looked somewhat like a magical story. The clothes I have fallen in love with! The second to last is my favourite because it's sexy and simple, yet makes a statement and is perfect for Autumn/Fall.
